Thomas: Sure.
Q1: Now to start the AMA, please have a quick introduction to the community. What is TryHards all about & story behind?
Thomas: Tryhards is an NFT-based action game, players collect Fanatics and Weapons (NFT’s) which can be used in the Arena to fight each other and waves of monsters. With a focus on Community building and social aspects of games. Players can upgrade their NFT’s to become stronger and receive better staking rewards as well as in-game loot. Combining the best of DeFi and NFTs to create a truly unique and everlasting action metaverse.
The Tryhard’s name is derived from gamers slang, someone being a: Tryhard. A player who is doing his absolute best to win a competitive match. As most of the team of tryhards are gamers themselves we came up with this name.
Q2: Can you tell us a bit about the team and their experience with crypto projects?
Thomas: The Tryhards core team has experiences in different fields, my background is in web development and marketing and our marketing manager has a lot of experience in Marketing for bigger firms in many fields. Our CTO has a lot of experience in crypto and software development. Of course our development team includes senior blockchain developers and have done other projects before. I believe because we have quite a bit of different backgrounds we have a fresh view on things and that helps raise Tryhards to the next level.
Q3: What are the advantages of investing in TryHards compared to others?
Thomas: I think the idea of Tryhards is that it’s a game firstly and an investment second. So if you are a gamer you should definitely join ASAP. The game is on the blockchain to empower the player, to give them ownership of their own in-game items. And our strategy is that if enough gamers join and love playing the game. The price of the NFT’s and tokens will rise with them. And of course our features:
– Purchasing NFT’s
– Staking
– Providing liquidity
– Players can place wager in TRY before they start a fight
– Participate in seasonal events
– Contribute in the Guardians of the armory (DAO)
– Purchasing in-game items and consumables, and many more in-game activities that require $TRY tokens.
Q4: What was your reasoning in going with Polygon and how do you feel about the chain going forward in reference to the gaming market share?
Thomas: Polygon combines the best of Ethereum and sovereign blockchains into a full-fledged multi-chain system.
Polygon solves pain points associated with Blockchains, like high gas fees and slow speeds, without sacrificing on security. This multi-chain system is akin to other ones such as Polkadot, Cosmos, Avalanche etc, but with at least three major upsides:
– It is able to fully benefit from Ethereum’s network effects
– It is inherently more secure
– It is more open and powerful
We aim to go on BSC and Solana after launching on Polygon, keep an eye out on future updates.
Q5: What will be the attraction for mass adoption of the metaverse concept? Do you feel that this is mainly a crypto attraction or do you see mainstream flocking towards it?
Thomas: I’ll be honest, I don’t see tryhards going “mainstream” right away, but we are working really hard to make it as easy as possible for new players to be able to join the game. But I do believe the hype is real at the moment ;’). After TGE we will launch on Solana and BSC later. So that players can choose on what chain they mint their NFT’s. Besides that we have some ideas on how to introduce the game to masses, please keep an eye out for that.
Q6: Can you explain about the Try Hards game, and whether this game has a guild war system, pvp battle or a weapon and item trading system between players in the game?
Thomas:At the moment we don’t have any guild or clan system. We think this is an amazing idea and will introduce this later on. But we have to start with the basics and keep expanding the game as it grows. And these things are very high on the list. Players will be able to fight each other in 1vs1 and 2vs2 shortly after, we will introduce more game modes as the game progresses. And of course players can trade NFT’s on our marketplace, such as Fanatics, Weapons, Crystals and more.
Q7: What is the status of the project? Can you share with us your roadmap in the next 6 months?
Thomas: We will launch on 24-11-2021 with TGE, the first part of the game will be ready, players will be able to get Fanatics and Weapons and upgrade those NFT’s with crafting crystals. The more Universe Power they get the better staking rewards they will receive. In Q1 of 2022 we will introduce the 3D game and players will be able to load in the same NFT’s into the game as 3D assets and play with them. Personally I cannot wait!
