Q1: Now to start the AMA, please have a quick introduction to the community. What is Starchi all about?
Moontrips: Starchi is a Tamagotchi-inspired GameFi saga for the PlayToEarn generation. It’s a rewarding game about the power of love and care, and bringing humanity back to a positive place. Players must nurture their Starchi to help avoid extinction and join friendly battle leagues to earn rewards.
The Starchi story starts in a dark world where humanity has lost its purpose. The Starchi, once hidden within the Earth, come out in search of new energy, since the sun no longer shines on their homes. Upon meeting human children who feed and care for them, they begin to form a bond. Now that the Starchi are happy, they emit a mysterious glow, having found new love and energy to live on. Humans all over the world begin adopting Starchi as pets and eventually create friendly battle leagues for wages, where Starchi become the heroes of the leagues. Suddenly the world begins looking a little brighter thanks to the Starchi and their caretakers for bringing positivity back into the world

Q2: Please share with us the background of the team. What are your past experiences?
Moontrips: I am Angela Brasington, VP of Marketing at Starchi. My background is in marketing and entrepreneurship and I’ve been working with @StarterXyz and @OfficialStarchi since earlier this year. Starter is the leading launchpad, incubator, and investor network in DeFi, and incubated the Starchi project.
We have an amazing team of people bringing this project to life, including a full marketing team as well as a full team of rockstar developers. Our developers have a rich history in both crypto and traditional software development. Our marketing team comes from diverse backgrounds with tons of experience launching startups both in and out of crypto. We are a tight-knit team with decades of experience and we’re all very excited to launch Starchi…straight to the moon!
Q3: How does your team begin the process of creating this project, the story behind?
Moontrips: The members of our team had Tamagotchi growing up and we all enjoyed getting to take care of something in a fun and playful way. With the play to earn economy, compensation is added to the game, providing an opportunity to change the way people live and work. This means that people can actually enjoy playing Starchi and earn a living doing so. With this, we hope to bring real work to underserved countries who don’t have other ways to work. In some countries, people leave their families to earn a living in another country and send the money back home. After the pandemic many others were left without jobs and are struggling to feed their families. Starchi will allow them to stay home, have a full-time job, and pay their bills.
Q4: What kind of games can we play in Starchi? And what benefits will users/players get?
Moontrips: Starchi Collectors are responsible for acquiring and nurturing Starchis from infancy to adulthood. They are also responsible for preventing the extinction of Starchi-kind. Collectors earn wages via friendly battles to be amongst the top Collectors in their village.
Starchi Collectors acquire Starchis by purchasing them in various stages from the local marketplace as per below.
1. Freshly-minted Starchi eggs
2. Toddler, teenager, and adult Starchis listed for sale by their collectors
3. Neglected Starchis (those not well taken care of) that are listed for adoption
Starchi Collectors are also responsible for nurturing their Starchi, preventing them from extinction, and preparing them for battle. To prepare for battle, Collectors must do the following:
1. Wake Up
2. Eat
3. Play
4. Sleep
Each Starchi possesses unique attributes and stats indicating its current state. A Starchi can possess one or more elements with a power ratio from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest). The elements dictate attack vectors during battles.
1. Stats include: HP (Hit Points), Energy, Exercise, and Hygiene
2. Elements include: Neutral, Wood, Earth, Water, Fire, Metal, Animal, Poison, Undead, and Lightning
Any Starchi Collector can create a battle arena for a low fee and decide which Starchi from their collection will attend the battle. Winners collect the majority of the fee plus earnings in reward tokens.
1. Any eligible Starchi Collector can join
2. Winners earn 85% of the START token fee
plus the in-game rewards token
3. 10% of the remaining START tokens goes to
staking income and the last 5% is burned
Q5: Please tell us about the $START token! What are the token use cases, distribution, and how to buy/get it?
Moontrips: Starchi is a dual token economy, which uses Starter’s $START token to access to the game and buy Starchi as well as Starchi’s liquid luck token, $ELIXIR, our magical mix that makes the Collector wealthier for a period of time (while in possession of the elixir), is used for in-game rewards.
The World of Starchi is a Play to Earn economy providing Collectors with wages based on the completion of certain objectives. The tokenomics provides for a Play to Earn allocation of 20,000,000 ELIXIR for in-game rewards.
1. Earn START arena fees & ELIXIR by winning battles
2. Earn ELIXIR in future contests & tournaments
3. Earn START & ELIXIR with staking income
4. Earn ELIXIR by topping leaderboards, such as Most Active Collector, Longest Starchi holder, and more

Q6: Let’s talk about partnerships & influencers that you are collaborating with.
Moontrips: We can’t reveal alllll our amazing partners just yet… but excited to share a few. We received a grant from the Polygon Foundation and we are launching our IDO on Polygon next month. So we are working closely with them to bring the exciting and evolving world of GameFi to the Polygon community. We have also officially announced our media partnership with @CryptoDiffer, the best source for the top crypto news in the industry. We’re working with a powerhouse of influencers to share Starchi with their fans. And we’re grateful to have secured a number of other strategic partners that are also in it for the long-term and whose goals align with our greater vision. Q7: Could you give us some information about your roadmap, your milestones, and also your future plans?
Moontrips: Milestones include a grant from the Polygon Foundation, which we received last month. We closed our seed round, oversubscribed by 500% and recently closed our private round.
We will have our IDO in early November and the MVP live right after. We have more fun contests lined up as well as some other exciting things that we’ll share soon. This week and next, we’ll continue sharing our Partner Announcements so everyone can get a better look at the strength backing Starchi.
A super bullish aspect of Starchi (prepare to have your mind blown!) is that players will have the ability to stake their $ELIXIR earnings to get access to IDOs on @StarterXyz launchpad, further advancing their goal of financial freedom.
