Our team
With a background in IPs, branding, media, gaming, blockchain and digital experience design, the Straight Fire team is on a mission to create an ecosystem where NFTs can be created, owned, shared and enjoyed by everyone. An environment where the value of digital assets, like assets in the physical world, depends on scarcity, utility, provenance and the human emotional responses they evoke. Some of us will want to buy, collect and trade digital assets that increase in value over time, whereas others will simply want to own, use and enjoy them.
Where are we in the hype cycle for gaming and NFT’s?
The NFT market to date
Many of the current NFT buyers are not interested in the actual content of the NFT, but instead favour a potential increase in price. They do not seem to care that existing NFTs, like cryptos, are just stored and kept hidden as a private key in their digital wallet. After all, to these buyers NFTs and cryptos are interchangeable.
Some buyers, however, purchase NFT for its original content and like to collect and enjoy their digital assets. Unfortunately, neither digital wallets, nor marketplaces display NFTs in a way that shows the real potential and collective value. In fact, many digital wallets and marketplaces, like NFTs themselves, are blockchain restricted.
We are now experiencing an NFT market that is still growing, but NFT prices are volatile, new NFTs must be original and stand out from the crowd and most people question the utility of NFTs. NFTs need an upgrade, or we will never see the NFT market reach its full potential.
And what’s next?
We are really at the beginning of the real NFT cycle — to prove that it’s not a fad, but here to stay. We believe that the value of digital assets, like assets in the physical world, depends on scarcity, utility, provenance and the human emotional responses they evoke. Some of us will want to buy, collect and trade digital assets that increase in value over time, whereas others will simply want to own, use and enjoy them.

What are some best ways for newbies to get up to speed in the space?
First, we would strongly suggest doing research, research, research. Every day again. This industry moves so rapidly that you should keep on top of things.Then, experience NFTs. Buy and sell them. Own and enjoy them.
Finally, make up your own mind! This industry is really at its infancy. Choose and shape your own path in NFTs. It’s an incredibly exciting time to shape the future of NFTs. A future that will be defined by a lot of individuals, whereas the world as we know is mostly dominated by big corporates.
What is one thing that most people don’t know about your project?
Through our background, we are uniquely positioned between the West and Asia, specifically China. Born in China and the Netherlands and having lived all over the world, our team has developed a track-record in connecting East and West and elucidating what makes each unique and at the same time analogues.
Also, our background in design, branding and culture enables us to do things different. We define the future of NFTs and the Metaverse not merely on technology. We strongly believe that both revolve around human emotions.
